Job Description: Project Controls Manager (URS) and Senior Project Scheduler (Browne) for Wet Weather Program and associated Capital Improvement Projects in the Greater Cincinnati area.  This multi-phase program involves extensive improvements to the city’s sewer systems and wastewater treatment and storage facilities.

 

Responsibilities include:

·          Utilizing Primavera P6 as the primary scheduling tool for the program and Microsoft Project for selective vendor schedule reviews

·          Developing, updating and reviewing project schedules to monitor Program Master Schedule dates for compliance with consent decree milestone requirements

·          Reporting on schedule performance, focusing on variances, trending and earned value analysis to help the client identify potential schedule delays or cost overruns

·          Working closely with client’s project managers and cost team to produce more accurate budget forecasts and cash flow projections

·          Utilizing Primavera 5.0 Project Manager software to build a cost loaded project master schedule and to perform systematic schedule updates

·          Tracking all project invoices and pay applications and submitting to client for payment

·          Generating and submitting cost reports, showing current expenditures as well as all costs-to-date using a multi-tiered work breakdown structure (WBS)

·          Creating cost curves showing baseline cost vs. actual cost, maintaining cash flow projections and tracking earned value

·          Serving also as a Project Administrator – assisting in procurement of subcontractors, field equipment and supplies and managing subcontract work; also, logging and tracking contracts, purchase orders, change orders, change order requests, change directives, submittals, requests for information (RFI’s) and other project documents

Project: Brunot Island Gas Fuel Conversion (November 2000 – June 2002)

Owner: Orion Power Midwest / Reliant Energy

Job Description: Served as Project Controls Administrator for 2 year refurbishment project of 50 MW Power Plant.  Project involved the conversion of oil fuel burning plant into a gas fuel plant by demolishing the old combustion turbines and installing 3 new Heat Recovery Steam Generators and overhauling a complex cycle steam turbine.

 

Responsibilities included:

·          Utilizing Primavera Expedition and Microsoft Access database to maintain logs and generate reports for tracking project documents including contracts, purchase orders, change orders, drawings and specifications as well as RFI’s, submittals, transmittals and correspondence

·          Receiving all contract drawings and specifications from engineers and issuing to contractors
